Carly and Bobby

Carly and I both teach the fourth grade and one day, after chatting about how our multiplication lessons were going, we got to talking about her wedding coming up this summer. I showed her my website and she was completely surprised, she had no idea I was into photography; “You’re like a real photographer!” she said. She asked me to do her engagement shoot and I told her I’d be thrilled!
Carly and Bobby wanted a city type feel for their pictures so I suggested downtown Leesburg. Although she had never been it turned out to be exactly what she had in mind. The weather was in our favor and both Carly and Bobby were completely relaxed in front of the camera. I could tell you more, but I think the pictures speak for themselves. Enjoy!

Paula and Aaron were married WAY back in June but I never got around to posting this beautiful wedding. Since it’s snowing like crazy this weekend I figured it might be nice to jump back and look at some sunny warm summer days. Enjoy, and think warm thoughts!

Well, to be fair, at this point they’re actually married. BUT these pictures were taken mere weeks before their wedding day and the wedding pictures are still being reviewed by the lovely bride so they aren’t ready to be posted. Take your time reviewing them Erin, all of my readers will wait patiently, It’s your mom who will come looking for you if you take too much longer.

Abby’s one!

I photographed Abby when she was just a tiny little newborn. It’s always amazing to get a chance to take pictures of babies as they grow, and Abby has gone from a laid back infant to a free wheeling one year old. Very little can get her to stay still, give her half a chance and she’s up and running! Thankfully the fall leaves served as plenty of entertainment and it made for some great pictures too. Thanks Jess and Matt for letting me capture your beautiful family and thanks to Josie who was a pretty good sport through the whole shoot, considering it was all about her baby sister.

Old Red Dodge

It had been much too long since I had gone out and taken pictures just to take pictures. Initially I had images of fields illuminated by the sun and rolling green landscape pictures but when Bridget said her aunt had an awesome old truck my inspiration completely shifted. I was not in the least bit disappointed! This old Dodge had so much character, and with a little prodding Bridget agreed to do a bit of modeling.
I was completely thrilled with the results and best of all I had a blast taking the pictures.

Mo and Jess- a photo shoot to make the miles seem less far
November 3, 2009 | Filed Under Any Time Photos | Leave a Comment
My little sister is blessed to have found herself an absolutely wonderful boyfriend who truly cares for her and would probably do anything to make her smile (lets just say he has the big sisters approval). This summer he was offered a job far far away in California for the summer doing something he really enjoys, and because Mo would do pretty much anything to make him smile she was excited for him too, even though it meant they would be rocking the long distance relationship for a while. So when I found out about all of this, the older sister in me couldn’t resist suggesting a photo shoot so that both of these adorable love birds could have a picture to look at while they were apart. When I called Mo and Jess up to suggest the whole thing they were thrilled- so off we went, 48 hours before Jess was supposed to leave. The two of them were happy and adorable, the whole thing went off amazingly and I’ve got the pictures to prove it.

Personal Favorite from the day, I just love all those twisty roots.

Well, this post has been a log time coming hasn’t it? I know the anticipation has been killing you, but look on the bright side, now you don’t have to wait to see the wedding pictures because the wedding has already happened! The engagement shoot captured Paula and Aaron as they truly are, fun loving and full of laughter. They started out by saying they weren’t sure they were very photogenic, turns out they were wrong! The two of them took to the camera like total naturals
Exhibit A) American Gothic. This picture sort of just happened. It was one of the first pictures that we took and as soon as it happened I knew this was going to be an awsome photo shoot.
The next post wont take so long, have faith wedding pictures are to follow.

Check back to see more of this adorable couple later on this week.
Welcome Cheryl Beplay!

Cheryl was a champ during the whole shoot considering I showed up around dinner time and she was hungry! Even though I woke her up she gave me some encouraging smiles. It’s always amazing how much character a newborn baby can have and Cheryl was no exception. She grabbed right onto fingers, gave little squeals and made us all swoon with those baby blues. She’s turning heads and she’s only 3 days old… Dad’s comment? “I’m going to have my hands full when she turns fifteen”
