Kathy’s due date seems like it’s right around the corner – everybody had their fingers crossed for a memorial day baby – so we headed down to a local stream to capture some of that beautiful baby belly!

My final round of Christmas pictures in April – It was super hard holding onto these until I knew all the cards were out and the gifts had been given. Olivia was such a dream, she loved all the sparkly Christmas ornaments and Christmas lights.

Olivia was such a doll when I took Christmas photos this past year that I was thrilled when her mom asked me to come and take her 6 months photos. The weather was amazing and we all headed outside in short sleeves in February! I love her little head bands and her sticky-upy hair. Can’t wait till next time

Amelia’s big sister didn’t want to be left out. She ran around in circles making footprints from the wet grass.

Christmas time is such a fun time to take pictures, especially when I have an awesome client like Melissa! She’s amazingly gifted – she knit Amelia’s reindeer outfit and made Gracie’s santa dress, it made for the most amazing pictures. She doesn’t have an etsy site (yet?) but if she opens one I’ll definitely let you all know. Besides being gifted with a pair of knitting needles she is so accomdating. When I asked to move around half the furniture in the living room she didn’t even blink! Thanks again Melissa!

I always have to save my Christmas pictures until after the holiday season because I don’t want to spoil the Christmas cards going out in December. I hope you enjoy a little holiday cheer in April!

I’ve had the pleasure of photographing these sweet girls since the day Abby was born. We did their first family portraits at Walney Pond and we revisited it again for pictures this year. I couldn’t help going back and looking at some of the family portraits from when she was one. Enjoy some before and afters- I can’t wait until next year!

These pictures are a testament to the fact that the weather doesn’t have to be beautiful to get beautiful images. The Weaver clan gets a lot of kudos for coming out to take pictures in the pouring down rain. Not only that, but they traveled north out of their nice warm weather and into a very unseasonably cold Virginia morning. Between warm up breaks where we wrapped up E.B. in a huge jacket these are the pictures we got. You guys were awesome! Thanks for helping to put some clout behind the Whatever the Weather name.

I had to start promising my friends that I would leave my camera at home when I attended their weddings – after all, if I”m a guest I”m there to enjoy the party, not work the wedding right? Well, I’m doing my best… but what can I say? I’m just a sucker for beautiful couples. When we arrived at the reception I saw this swing and immediately thought of what a great picture location it would be! When I saw that their wedding photographer didn’t take any pictures there, I ran out to the car and got my camera. Steve and Sara were kind enough to entertain a photographer with a vision and I”m so glad that they did because these shots came out exactly as beautiful as I had imagined!!!

Maybe one day I”ll be able to leave the camera at home – but I’ll have no motivation to as long as the pictures keep coming out like this. Congratulations you two!
